Strong-arm robbery: A woman was walking out of a store in the 1300 block of West Lantana Road shortly before midnight when a van pulled up nearby. He was given a notice to appear in court. He could not explain why he left the scene after the crash. He said there were two men and a woman in the Ford, and the robbery occurred in the area of South 14th and West Jennings streets. The driver said he was chasing the Ford Explorer because he had been robbed by the occupants. Police found the driver, who was positively identified by the witness. The woman returned the car she bought, then gave her boyfriend $1,400 and her bank card so he could withdraw the rest. He convinced her to return a vehicle she had bought prior to their meeting, telling her he could get her a better deal on a car being sold by an elderly lady he knew. The man went to check on his vehicle and found that all four tires and rims were stolen.
